Some are lucky enough to celebrate 50 years of marriage, but even fewer have the fortune of doing so with a truly unforgettable party—surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and lifelong friends.
Rolando and Denise, with the help of an incredible team, brought this dream to life in an evening filled with joy, laughter, and deep emotion. Every detail was designed to take them on a journey through time, revisiting the many trips they had shared over the years. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, the walls and décor transformed to showcase the places that had left a lasting imprint on their hearts. Meanwhile, the menu—curated by a three-Michelin-star chef—told the story of these same destinations through flavors, blending distant and familiar tastes in a culinary tribute to their adventures.
Among the guests were several well-known figures, though out of respect for privacy, I’ve chosen not to highlight them here. From sports legends and European politicians to presidents of international football clubs, their presence spoke volumes about Rolando and Denise’s vibrant and accomplished lives. And as a personal highlight—being a big fan myself—I was thrilled to spot Corinne Cléry, the former Bond girl from Moonraker!
But beyond the grandeur of the setting, the exquisite food, and the distinguished guests, what moved me most was something I can’t capture in photos—the love of their family, so tangible in every embrace. For me, that was the most extraordinary part of the evening.
The event took place at Officine del Volo on Via Mecenate in Milan, a venue renowned for its distinctive architecture (and famously the filming location for every season of MasterChef Italia).
The event was meticulously planned by Accaelle Events, with an exquisite menu crafted by the prestigious three-Michelin-star restaurant Da Vittorio.
