23-Minute French Chateau Pre-Wedding Shoot: Austin Couple's Love Story
Pre-Wedding Magic: 23 Minutes, We Nailed It!
This was an original exchange of vows, but more than that, it was a chance to meet two amazing people: Elizabeth and Cory. They live in Austin, Texas, and France was their dream wedding destination. A few months before the big day, they made a final visit to their favorite Loire Valley chateau. I happened to be in Paris for another job in early July. When I learned they were just a few hundred kilometers away and leaving in a few hours, I did everything I could to catch the first TGV.
This entire shoot was done in a timed 23 minutes. They had to rush to the airport for their flight back to the US, so that was all the time I had. But I liked them so much that minutes after the shoot, I started editing the files to send some previews to Elizabeth. She was amazed and thanked me, then hired me for their wedding photos at Chateau Challain two months later.
In that short time, Elizabeth and Cory opened beautiful wax-sealed boxes and took out two gorgeous Cartier "Love" bracelets, a design that you assemble and screw together yourself with the included screwdriver. After that, I got a few more portraits in the garden and the super-cool trailer bar. Just as I was thinking about what else I wanted to do, they were saying goodbye. As I said at the start, it was a brief but meaningful meeting. We met again in September, but you can find that story in my wedding section.
