Caro and Daniel travelled from Munich with their family and friends to Villa Tiboldi, a wine estate on a hilltop in Canale d'Alba, surrounded by the vineyards of the Langhe and Roero.

They wanted two days rather than one: an evening to welcome everyone, then a wedding day lived slowly, from the first coffee to the last glass of Nebbiolo. Their daughter was part of every moment.

The Welcome Dinner

The celebration started on Friday evening. Guests arrived to a view over the hills, a glass of Roero Arneis from the ice buckets and a live singer under the lanterns hanging from the old tree.

Caro and Daniel greeted every guest with their daughter at their side. The children found the gelato long before dessert.

In their words

"You made us feel completely comfortable, and everything with you felt so effortless and natural." — Caro & Daniel, Munich

Getting Ready

On Saturday everyone got ready at the villa. Daniel kept it simple: only the last touches, the bow tie, the boutonnière, a moment on the terrace with the vineyards below. Caro got ready with her daughter, who stayed close to the dress all morning.

The Ceremony

At three o'clock the guests took their seats under the trees, facing the hills. Caro walked down the aisle with her father. A close friend of the couple led a ceremony full of laughter and a few tears, Daniel's first. Their daughter carried the rings to the front when it was her turn. Then the first kiss, a toast, and an exit through petals and soap bubbles.

Aperitivo on the Terrace

The aperitivo moved to the pool terrace, with a jazz trio playing against a backdrop of vineyards. Guests found their seats in an original way: each name was written on a small perfume bottle, a fragrance seating chart the couple had designed themselves.

Golden Hour in the Vineyard

When the light turned warm we walked into the vineyard below the villa. It was mid-September, and the Nebbiolo grapes hanging heavy on the vines were practically ready for the harvest. We stayed until the sun dropped behind the rows.

Dinner Under the Pergola

Dinner was served on the terrace as the hills turned blue. There were speeches from Daniel and from Caro's father, a long hug between father and daughter, and a table that would not stop waving its napkins.

First Dance and Party

After dessert every guest received a heart-shaped card with a line written by the couple. They held them up while Caro and Daniel danced for the first time. Then the music took over, the Nebbiolo came out in magnum, and the drone caught the courtyard full of light. The night ended where the weekend began: the three of them under the lanterns.
